Comments: Toured up into the Red Lakes Bowl to assess warming, wind, & Wind Slab sensitivity. Snow surface wide variety of frozen melt freeze crusts and Wind Slabs with the occasional facet patches. No recent avalanches, roller balls noted. Stability tests show surface Wind Slabs still weakly bonded to underlying facets with additional mid-pack weakness. Lake surfaces have gone through numerous melt/freeze cycles & are quite icy, small patch of open water on the south bank of Virginia Lake. 8 Stability Tests: 0cm CTV Q2 151cm CT23 Q3 119cm CT26 Q3 86cm CT27 Q3 65cm CT11 Q2 136cm CTV Q2 151cm Failed on facets below CT12 Q2 151cm Simultaneously failed @ 136.
