The First Ever Backcountry Randonee Race Is Happening on the Sherwins this March!

The Mammoth Chase is a ski mountaineering race taking place on the face of the Sherwins on March 17th. Competitors will chose between a Recreational course and a longer more technical Race course. The Recreational course will have 3 climbs and 2 descents for a total of about 2,800 feet of elevation gain. The Race course will have 4 climbs and 3 descents for a total of about 6,000 feet of elevation gain. Competitors are welcome to use randonee, telemark or splitboard equipment.
