We're getting closer to having a forecaster in place, and appologize for the delay. With the new snowfall, we realize the importance of having this position filled, and assure you that we are working very hard to get someone in this position as soon as possible.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning that remains in effect until 10am on Sunday. Mammoth Mountain Ski Area received roughly two feet of new snow in the last 24 hours, and the overnight forecast is calling for 24" + above 9,000'. With high winds and heavy snowfall comes increased avalanche risk, and venturing into avalanche terrain in the backcountry is not recommended.
