Two observed:
Number 1: Anecdotal evidence indicates it was triggered not long before 3pm on Monday 20100301 by one of three snowboarders that descended from Ellery Lake vicinity that day. Located at the very head of the steepest portion of the canyon, North of the frozen waterfall (Ellery Lake's outlet) and directly below a brush line.
Aspect: E
Slope Angle: N/O
Crown Height: approximately 40cm
D1
Hard Slab
20M wide
60M crown to debris toe.
A friend who saw the snowboarders exiting lower down (and gave them a ride out to their car at the 120 gate) said they never mentioned the slide.
Number 2: Lower down, in the "narrows" of the LVC ice climbing approach, large hard slab debris and an old crown was observed. Start zone was a cross loaded zone immediately under cliffs bounding south side of canyon and couldn't have been more than a meter tall and just over 30deg. The debris, however, ran 10-20 meters into the canyon bottom, right across the "trail". Unknown trigger, unknown timing. Certainly a D1.
