Snowpack & Snowpit Observations
Information about the snowpack/snowpit:

2 snowpits dug.  1st skiers left of left telebowl in open area.  2nd just over ridge on east aspect about 400' vertical feet below summit.  See attached profiles.  Snowpack on eastern aspects at punta bardini elevations is isothermal.  No evidence of instabilities today at all.  Not even small shallow point releases.  Even though temps were fairly warm, clouds cut down on the solar radiation, and light breeze helped keep snow surface slightly cooler as well.

Pit Profiles & Snowpack Photos:
Comments:

Stable snow throughout.  Clouds and light breeze kept wories of wet snow instabilities down.  Northerly aspects above 8600' still holding great wintery dry snow (atleast in more open areas).  Below 8500 slightly thicker.
