A little afternoon stroll out Minaret Road to Smugglers summit. We toured up through North and Northeast facing terrain with alternating firm and trapdoor surface conditions. From the summit we skied the SE flank of the little peak. Dropping in at 2:30 PM and found the snow surface to be softened and enjoyable for sliding. We didn't punch through the surface while we were skiing.
Below is a field weather observation from the summit.
