Went for a quick lunch tour to perch. Left trailhead at 1130AM and found mixed snow/hiking to base of ridge then easy skinning to summit. Descended around 1, Hot pow was the name of the game, although only roller balls found were at the final ~100 ft above the car. Up high new snow was 1-8” depending on aspect and seemed well bonded from hand pits and ski cuts. Main hazard was very thin coverage but for such a low elevation area and with this season can’t complain, better than skinning up a groomer ;-)! Good luck to all you caldera burners tomorrow!
