We stuck to < 30 degree slopes on Red Mountain and observed essentially no signs of instability. We triggered one whumph right around where we topped out (approx. 8700 ft.) just below a rocky outcropping. Other than that, we observed no shooting cracks, collapsing, or additional whumphing even when we stepped out of the skin track or were stomping around to create a transition platform. But there was extensive evidence of old cracks.
