We skied up to the top of the dome south of Mammoth. All was quiet and no snow movement or cracking. Was lovely fluffy powder like the champagne powder in Steamboat, CO. However, on the way down, in the afternoon, there was about a 1” icy crust that had formed everywhere the sun had hit it during the day.
