I set out to ski Chicken Wing around 9:00 am today, as we broke trail I cut a few hand pits and did our best to stomp on some steeper rollovers to see if anything would react, and happily found no results. There was a developing into windslab on the Northern ridgeline that at times was punchy and hard work to break trail, but again nothing that alarmed us. All in all it seemed like the wetter start to the storm bonded pretty well at our aspect and elevation and made an excellent and beautiful day in the E. Sierra.
