Toured from the Bishop Creek development into the glades to the east up to about 9,800. Bishop Creek currently has good snow coverage right now, however all aspects appear somewhat wind affected - the west and north facing stuff we were on certainly was. We had variable conditions lots of breakable wind crust, some firm wind board, and some soft dry snow (kind of heavy though). Our route was conservative <35 degree glade skiing, with the steepest bit being down the moraine to the development. We dug a pit at around 9,600 to see how the later snow fall last week stacked up on the big storm layer. HS = 239 cm, dug to about 100 cm, no rain crust in the profile, CT 15 RP @ 220. Gorgeous day, skiing was 4/10.
