Toured up on Red Mtn to 10190'. Cold bluebird morning that warmed up eventually; only intermittent light winds. 4" new snow from Sat night/Sun at the TH. Signs of wind affect started appearing as low as 8500', but surface conditions were soft up to around 10k', even where the trees on the N aspect start to thin and get smaller. Above 10k', 1-2" soft to medium wind skins started to appear. At 9500' we found about 7-8" of new snow. By about midday E aspects below 9k' were producing small rollerballs.
At 10190', N aspect, wind-exposed: HS=212cm. 3cm of 4F windboard over 12cm F new snow over 10cm of P old crusts over F old snow (not sugary facets).
Skiing quality was generally very good.
