Woke up this morning to a naturally triggered avalanche above Lake View Drive on Heidelberg Hill in June Loop. It appears the trigger source was snow bombs falling from a tree. Runout across the road took trash cans from one side of the street to the other and broke a metal gate. Neighbor’s security cam captured the difference before and after the slide at around ~12:30am. Depth around ~1m. Snow surface beneath the fresh dry and light deposition was hard wind board and light sun crust. The snow has become loose later in the day, multiple full roofs on Lakeview have slid. The county issued an evacuation order for a large swath of June south of the 158.
