Toured up the south/south east face of Earthquake Dome this afternoon (scenic loop was closed). Stuck to slopes below 35 degrees. Hand pits revealed a rough shear between yesterday's and today's storm snow. The snow is upside down with the heavier snow sitting on yesterday's dry snow. I jumped on several test slopes to see if I could get propagation, but no results. However, the upside down nature of the snow warranted extra caution. Trail breaking was brutal :) But the skiing was great.
