Not really too surprising but I thought it worth the share as the weekend and warming begin. Late afternoon, approx 1600-1800, showed upper layer of snow going isothermal to varying degrees. Of significance: at 8700' in the lower 1/4 of the Grand Central ski pole penetration was as deep as 120cm. This warming was not consistent but spread across areas in the gut of the run. I know this is a close favorite and might be an objective this weekend, so I wanted to pass the obs.
Cheers!
