-Dug a pit in similar location / elevation as I did on Wednesday before this last ~10″ of snowfall to see how the facet layer was reacting compared to a couple days ago. 9,650′ on NNE aspect, 22° slope. ECTP26 & PST(29/100-END), compared to ECTP14 & PST(16/100-END) on Wednesday. These tests indicate that the facet layer is still reactive, but would take more force to trigger. Also on Wednesday there was a wide whoomph and slope collapse as we took our skis off, but that was experienced today.
-No other signs of instability encountered today, still kept to lower angle slopes and away from steep chutes.
Clear blue skies, cold and calm.
