While skiing out to New Break leaving the ski area alone from the top of J7 @1450, S2 snowfall occurred with moderate (M) primarily SW but shifting in varying direction wind leaded to M blowing snow. Elected to stick to low-angle slopes out of avalanche terrain due to recent weather & avalanches inbounds during mitigation routes at June Mountain yesterday and today — some paths going at an R4-R5 due to AE triggers, and solid D2 slides with AS trigger and many shooting cracks while getting in place to ski cut — and selected open meadow on NE facing slope. Sky was completely OVC @1450, intermittently clearing to BKN / S-1 and back to OVC / S2 before completely clearing to CLR and NO precipitation at 1548.
