Despite the forecasted winds, I set out to ski up the crest today. Canceled those plans when I saw how much the east wind was actually honking and transporting snow. Most of the snow appeared to be sublimating into the atmosphere.
Skied the Old Growth instead. No wind in there and only a slight breeze up high. While the facet factory is still pumping out recrystallized powder, most of this area was tracked (but still had some fun turns). Some of the old tracks seemed to be maybe starting to facet away themselves.
Skinning was mostly mellow except for one spot above the looker's right Tele Bowl where the angle is steeper and the wind board was especially hard and slippery.
