-Toured up Lundy Canyon, over the ridge into VA Lakes, up and down southerly facing terrain in VA Lakes and back up and down southerly facing terrain into Lundy Cyn.
-Southerly facing slopes softened, but nothing close to concerning levels before they started to re-freeze. 1:30pm better than noon.
-Calm to light winds, full sunshine without a cloud in the sky.
-8:50am @ 9900' at ridge top: 3.3°C/38°F. Boot Pen from 7800' up to here at this time was zero.
-11:30am @ 12,050' near ridge top: light southerly breeze, 2.5°C/37°F. Boot pen from 10am to 11:30am from 9,500' t0 12,050' on S to SE facing slopes was zero to ~10cm, and up to half-boot-top.
-12:30am @ 9,600' at lake level: 41°F/5.1°C, very light NE breeze.
-1:45pm @ 10,750' ridge top: 36°F/2.3°C, calm.
-Lots of multi-dimensional snow surfaces especially on southerly facing terrain that wasn't that steep (25-30°), penitentes 6-12" deep. Steeper southerly faces had much less dramatic surface textures..
