Snow was mostly rotten on the approach. It seemed like it had melted out on a previous day and frozen into feather like shapes (see photos). On our way out it was still crunchy mostly everywhere. We got back to the car around 2:15 or 2.30. We only skied up McGee a little bit because we started late. Got less than 1/2 way up the mountain and ran out of snow on the patch we were following (but there was more above). No signs of instability. Got a few OK turns on the way down where the snow had softened a little bit.

Signs of Unstable Snow
