Report from observer:

"Hand shear, easy force broke at 15cm ( new snow from Wednesday/ Thursday) on old snow surface. NW aspect at 9247ft. Old snow surface in that place was pretty smooth and p- hard. Storm snow was fist hard.

Did a couple of hand shears lower on a N aspect at 9100ft. No results. Storm snow square fell apart. Seemed to have a much better bond to old snow surface. Surface below most recent snow was very rough. There were about 2-3" of dense wet looking snow that made up the old-new snow 'interface'.

Saw blowing snow at top of earthquake dome ( rolling saltation) / S wind moderate."
