More detailed information about the snowpack: 

The snowpack below 9000 on punta bardini still felt very thin this morning although above 9000 things dramatically improved. We found a rightside up snowpack and great snow conditions. At 9300 ft in the trees the snowpack was approx 150cm deep, the facets were down at about 40cm above the ground.  Stability tests showed that this layer was very hard to trigger, but once triggered, propagated energetically.
