More detailed information about the snowpack:

Skied off backside of Mammoth Mountain this morning to rest the legs a bit and reap the corn harvest. Strong SW winds were blowing snow along the ridgetop and surface conditions on the frontside were firm and fast, while at 11:15am descending into Fresno Bowl the upper bowl was just softening, and the skiers right sidewall (SW facing) skied very well down to 9200'. The middle of the run and the left side (W to NW) were still too firm to be fun at this time.

No signs of instability noted here, was out by 12:45 back to the ski area.
