Snowpit Observations
More detailed information about the snowpack:

Toured up from Convict Lake to the saddle on Old Man's Bowl at 10750'. Highly variable HS depending on sun exposure and wind loading. It went from nearly non-existent on S facing slopes to 1.5m+ on more sheltered slopes. Pole Probing at 10600' on NE facing aspect revealed 5-7cms of soft old pow on top of about 50cms of wind slab with another 50cms + of facets. It would be hard to get through the slab but if you hit the sweet spot it would be no bueno. On the way out around noon light to moderate roller ball activity observed on S and E facing slopes.

Took a peak into Morrison Col area from the saddle. A few old crowns observed from the 3/1 - 3/3 storm below Morrison NE face and old avalanche debris from Morisson Col.

HOT day. Skied everything from old pow, wind pack, dust on crust, quasi-corn, breakable and a little bit of corn.

Must have been a calm night last night as some surface hoar was also noticed at 10700'-10750' on the ridgeline at the top of Old Man's Bowl.

Couple of guys skied the North facing chutes on Mini Morisson. No instabilities observed there.
