Toured around the moraines above Aspendell today, steering clear of terrain steep enough to avalanche. Strong to extreme winds from the S-SW dominated the morning, with alot of snow transport at all elevations. The wind did dissipate after noon however. Surface conditions showed widespread wind effect on all aspects. We stomped on a few North facing, convex rolls and had no reaction. No whumpfing, shooting cracks or recent avalanche activity noted during our tour.
