Location:
Horseshoe trees - Deteriorating stability, avalanche activity
We toured up to horseshoe trees and took two laps. On the first up around 11:30 we saw a bit of collapsing but no slides. On the second up an hour later we remotely triggered a small wind slab from about 30-40ft away while walking along an exposed ridge line and remotely triggered a small storm slab from 100 ft away in more sheltered trees. On the second descent down to horseshoe almost every convex roll cracked and slid. At the bottom we remotely triggered a larger storm slab at least 100ft wide at the sunshine wall climbing area. All of the slides appeared to just be the new storm snow
