- Today the GSG A2 course went for a ski tour to find soft turns and work on making observations. We found a mixed bag of surface conditions as expected but found pleasant travel and riding in protected north facing trees in the Tele Bowl zone.
- Blowing snow was observed throughout the day @ 8200ft and above. We were surprised at the sight of some snow transport loading the N/NE aspects near / below treeline around the Tele Bowls. We tested some small wind features and found the small (15cm max) wind slabs were indeed reactive.
- Snowpit obs: N aspect, 8000k, HS 210 / Top 30-40cm of snowpack in this site location consisted of F/4F facets. On our CT tests we had repeatable PC and SC results within different layers/depths of the faceted snow grains in the upper pack.
