Toured in the June Lake Backcountry today. Wind was blowing enough to transport snow mid-slope as well as ridge-top. Skiing was variable from 11,000ft to 9,400ft on a E and SE aspects. There was a crust ~1.5- 2ft deep in non-wind loaded areas.
Besides the Agnew Lake avalanche we noticed before skiing down 4 Seasons, the only instability we saw was a crack above a ski track creating a 4ft x4ft slab that was ~10" thick.
The sun was quite strong all day with minimal cloud cover and temps were below freezing all day.
