We skied mammoth to June today. Conditions on the San Joaquin ridge before noon were hard, felt like refrozen wind board, except for some isolated sun softened south faces. Super windy on the ridge. Numerous small wet loose avalanches paths (D1) were present on east and west aspects in the fern creek drainage originating near rock outcroppings. Skiing quality was generally soft and fun in the Fern Creek area. The largest wet loose avalanches we observed were below Petes Dream on northerly aspects. It looked like one released yesterday and one released today (see picture).
